Good News Bible College & Seminaries
# This Is What We Do:
Each One – Teach One; Each One – Reach One.
Reaching Locally, Regionally and Nationally.
“To provide every person in the Nation of India, One Fair Chance to respond for the Gospel of Jesus Christ, is our Goal”
“One Fair Chance Mission India”, calls us all to a ministry of building the system and practices to get the Great Commission accomplished in a country of 1.3 billion people and growing.
The Greatest Need of the Hour
The Church is growing all over India as never before. In the wake of such phenomenal growth there is a growing dilemma; thousands of Churches are without any trained leadership. There are simply not enough biblical trainers to accomplish the great task. GNBC&S is stepping into the training crises to meet the urgent need of the hour, all over India, in an effective, practical way to make disciples and establish Churches. It is a time for resolution, determination and to do what He had told us to do (Mat 28:16-20). It is period to work together and moment to help one another to do what God has called us uniquely and collectively to do. It is the hour to surrender ourselves to God’s agenda and encourage one another. Good News Bible College & Seminary has been committed to equipping saints to follow and serve Christ and multiplying ourselves in the ministries during this 21st century.
The journey of Good News Bible College and Seminary began with a proverbial Motto, “a journey of a thousand miles begins with a small step.” And that small step was taken by Dr. G. Jaya Sekhar in 1999 with a vision of, “Where there is no vision, people perish” (Prov.29:18). Neither could he be “disobedient unto the heavenly vision” (Acts 26:19). He received this vision to initiate a Theological College to equip the laity, pastors, evangelists, business community, Government employees and church elders who felt the ‘Call of God’ for Evangelism and Mission. The College started in Secunderabad in 1999 with 60 students.
God has been mightily using the GNBC&S. Its commitment and academic excellence has spread far and wide throughout India. In response to the request of the committed Christians, GNBC&S, without any monetary sources at its disposal, established theological seminaries in India.
B. Why Does He Call us?
“We know that we are ourselves are children of God, and we also know that the world around us is under the power of the evil one” (I John 5:19). See also Eph 6:12 and Col 1:13.
Because people are hungry and in need. “When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd” (Matt 9:36)
How many of the Christians know how to share the gospel effectively? We have the responsibility to equip them. If the Gospel is to reach every creature then every believer needs to be equipped to do the sharing. We are equipping indigenous missionaries to reach our Indian nationals and thrust forward to reach every person in India to respond to the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
To Prove His Wisdom “His intent was through the Church, the manifold wisdom of God should be made known to the rulers and authorities in Heavenly Realms, according to the eternal purpose which he accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Eph 3:10, 11)
2. Because the Time is short
“Do you not say, ‘four months more and then the harvest”? I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for the harvest” (John 4:35 & John 9:4.) Believers abroad will see far greater returns by partnering with indigenous missionaries who are knowledgeable of the social fabric in India.
C. WHAT HAPPENS WHEN WE ARE CALLED?
a. We are made by Him, “Come, follow me,’ Jesus said, ‘and I WILL MAKE YOU fishers of men” (Matt 4:19 & Jeremiah 18:1-10).
b. We are taught by Him, “But the counselor the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of every thing I have said to you” (John 14:26, I Cor 2:12 and I John 2:27)
c. We are sent by Him, “As you sent me into the world, I have sent them into the world” (John 17:18 and Mark 16:15) When God calls; He comes and interrupts our lives.
Some examples of this in the scripture are:
- Moses (A Shepherd in the desert) “Go, set my people free” (Exo 3:1-12)
- Samuel (A boy serving in the temple) “Wake up, speak for me” (I Sam 3:1-12, Ezekiel (a captive in a foreign land): “Stand up, I am sending you” (Eze 2:1-7)
- Disciples (businessmen, fishermen): “come, follow me” (Luke 5:57-28 and Matt 4:18-22).
- Saul (an enemy of the Church): “Go, I will tell you what you must do (Acts 9:1-9)
GNBC&S, at the end of the academic studies a students will be transformed into leaders and will have relevant skills to lead others to Christ by word and example, and to also enable and equip others to do the same” II Tim 3:16.
D. Each One – Teach One
Paul teaches in the above verses that the primary purpose of a church leader is to train others. Paul explains this to young Timothy. His job as Church leader was to train others. He was to take the training he received from Paul and pass it on to other faithful Men. These in turn were also to teach still other faithful Men. “And the things that you have heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also” (II Tim 2:2)
Following Paul’s principle of training others would set off a chain reaction of multiplication that would cause the Gospel to be spread quickly over the whole world. The following chart shows what would happen if you would take ONE other faithful man and spend ONE year training him. The second year, you and the one you trained would each train one other. If you keep this process up for thirty three years look what would happen.
This illustrates the theoretical potential of the bible principle of EACH ONE – TEACH ONE; EACH ONE – REACH ONE
At End of Persons Trained:
|Year 1||2||Year 12||4,096||Year 22||8,388,608|
|Year 2||4||Year 12||8,192||Year 23||16,777,216|
|Year 3||8||Year 13||16,384||Year 24||33,554,432|
|Year 4||16||Year 14||32,768||Year 25||67,108,864|
|Year 5||32||Year 15||65,536||Year 26||134,217,728|
|Year 6||64||Year 16||131,072||Year 27||268,435,456|
|Year 7||128||Year 17||262,144||Year 28||536,870,912|
|Year 8||256||Year 18||524,288||Year 29||1,073,741,824|
|Year 9||512||Year 19||1,048,567||Year 30||2,147,483,648|
|Year 10||1,024||Year 20||2,097,152||Year 31||4,294,967,296|
|Year 11||2,048||Year 21||4,194,304||Year 32||8,589,934,592|
My Thought for you: If one person can chase 11,389 in 17 years, can you perceive how much together we will achieve. Deut 32:30?
If each one would teach one, at the end of 33 years, more people would be trained than the population of the world. If we would do things the Bible way, we would experience biblical results. “and there went great multitudes with Him… and more believers were added to the Lord, multitudes both of men and women” (Luke 14:25, Acts 5:14). This is God’s desire, for multitudes to follow Jesus.
“After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations and kindreds and people and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes…. (Rev 7:9). Yes! The Lord wants multitudes saved. “The Lord… Is…. Not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance” (II Peter 3:9). He has given us principles to ensure this result.
E. How do you see the Prospects of GNBC&S?
It is a God given vision (Eph. 4:12) and we will achieve this goal. There is no doubt about it. We believe that character development is a legitimate concern o f Biblical teaching. As the Lord guides and leads. This ministry must go on and the Lord’s people everywhere are to be exhorted to do the work of an Evangelist. II Tim 4:2-5.
This is my prayer that you will serve Him joyfully and diligently, wherever the Lord directs and leads you to win souls and plant new Churches to build the kingdom of God. Good News Bible College and Seminary will be a blessing and a launching pad to many more Remnants for all that God has to do through them for this Nation and the Nations beyond. Matt. 28:20. “GNBC&S targets the more experienced, matured, educated Christians in various Churches to develop them into qualified pastors, teachers and Evangelists for Church planting”
Together we can make a difference: “To give every person in India ONE FAIR CHANCE to respond to the Gospel of Jesus Christ, is our Goal”.
Would you help make this prayer a reality as we thrust forward to reach Indian Nationals for Christ.
IT CAN BE DONE.
Until Every One Hears,
Each One – Teach One; Each One – Reach One.
Our Lord is gracious, whenever God’s people do what they can it increases my confidence to ask God to do what only He can.
