Greetings to you in the most precious name of our dear Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Good News Bible College and Seminaries (GNBC&S), is a registered education society in Hyderabad, India. We are dedicated to equip saints for the ministry, (Eph 4:12) designed to provide supplementary theological instruction for middle-aged citizens, pastors, lay leaders, deacons, private and government Christian employers/ employees and business community, who have not had an opportunity to attend a seminary or receive basic theological education.

“Vision 2020: Reaching Nationals to reach Indian Nation – Thrust forward to make India a Christian nation”

11,000 being graduated, 60% are in Full time ministry.

During the past 18 years we equipped over 13,989 students and established 49 Bible institutes in 9 different states of India. Currently the student body total numbers 450 in all these institutes. We are independent and self-sustained ministry.

The principles of GNBC&S invites men and women to dedicate themselves for at IMG_0479least one year to study God’s Word from cover to cover and to a maximum of five years as per one’s feasibility. A methodological study program which is designed to equip believers doctrinally in order to give a better understanding of the whole of Scriptures in a classroom atmosphere.

Our goal is to equip every believer theologically who are knowledgeable of the social fabric in India. To reach more, the local church must stand on its own and our notion for our students is: Each One – Reach One; Each One – Teach One. These elements are reflected in our curriculum and in the composition of our faculty. Doctrine and discipline are two distinctive features of our training. A proper education in Bible-based systematic theology helps these believers to share the gospel effectively and efficiently.

Good News Bible College and Seminary was founded because of the epidemic pervading our neighborhoods as we live in a multi-ethnic diversified society with dissimilar Faiths. The organization seeks to provide community members with opportunities for advancement to attend seminary and earn a study program at-least for one year under highly experienced faculty. Not only do students have the opportunity to receive fully-accredited teaching but they also experience “life-on-life discipleship” and are exposed to practical skills workshops with many outdoor real time training in order to reach their neighbor with the credible message of gospel of Jesus Christ. Teaching that courage in the face of opportunity.

Our program is built on the belief that the Word of God alone can change the lives of our Students and those they will minister to – neighborhood and society. Matthew 9:38. In our country, respect for mature, experienced and established people give them a voice and greater power to reach the society. It is our responsibility to ensure they are confident, empowered, and encouraged to affect the kind of change necessary for the establishment of the kingdom on this earth. This is designed to encourage, equip and empower each one to impact the Church, families and community. It is this process of continuous renewal; of showing courage in the face of reality. This is our vision and this is what we do in India.

Participants and their family members praise the efforts of Good News Bible College and Seminary; often these students come back to volunteer their time to perpetuate the change they experienced. Such volunteers helped us to expand to 40 seminaries in 12 different states in India that has reached more than 11,389 students during 17 years, with greater potential for the future. Nationals reaching Nationals, IT CAN BE DONE!

Method and Strategy: Each One – Reach One ; Each One – Teach One

Our success has been touching lives and helping to evangelize the neighborhoods with simple methods and strategy in reaching others for Christ. Following Paul’s principles of training others would set off a chain reaction of multiplication that would cause the Gospel to spread quickly over India and the entire world. If one believer could reach at least one faithful man and spend at-least One year mentoring him.

a. Jai Surya – Bank Manager, State Bank of India: The benefits of learning so much in seminary were obvious while I was doing ministry as a seminary student at age of 45 years. I wondered just how much was going to stick afterward. I graduated in 2011 and in a year’s time it has been a blessing to enjoy the foundation God instilled through this amazing program! Not only do I still enjoy the Biblical framework I have been given, but I am realizing the joy of filling in the gaps. It has been a blessing to take the tools for learning into my ministry as a Pastor in a House Church. The more I learn the more I know and I have only scratched the surface of God’s word.

b. Patti Vara Prasad – Retired Electric Engineer- Cantonment Department Ministry of Defense- Government of India: At the age of 63, aside from all the academic benefits of the year, our spirits have been greatly nurtured and prodded as well. Each week we meet as a class for a time of reflection and accountability. God has been faithful to show us the areas in our lives that do not line up with the Bible, helping us understands what causes these issues and how to change our lives accordingly. Praise God for this study program which changed my regular living and encouraged me to start – One to One Ministry, in reaching others for Christ.

One to Five Years of Discipleship:
We are committed not only to help students grow in their knowledge of Scripture, but also to challenging them to live their lives as reflection of the Word of God among people of other faiths. We are not interested in training specialists. Our focus is not on the degree certificate but on providing a complete program that is focused on the heart of each student. This is done through three distinct semester of a year.

These classes are extended up to 5 years based upon student’s interest and requirements. The Bible Institute enables the student to systematically walk through the Bible to help provide a good biblical foundation for teaching, leading and living one’s life. We work verse-by-verse through the Bible in a chronological order, seeking to demonstrate the continuity of the Scripture and watch as God’s plan unfolds.

c. We are 40 Bible Schools across India with more than 11,000 graduates during 16 years as of 27th Jan 2015. The number seems to be big but we just scratched the surface of 1.30 Billion in India and it is said only 3% of the populations are Christians in India.

Cost of Fee per student:
Rupees 500 ($ 8) Per Month and total of Rupees 6000 ($ 100) Per Year.

Life-On-Life Discipleship
Our whole program is built on the principle of discipleship. Students should expect to experience authentic community and be challenged to apply Scripture to their lives for exemplary living. Our discipleship program is based largely on the work of the Association of Biblical Counselors.

Outdoor Gospel Mission:
We give opportunity to share the gospel in public through outdoor gospel mission. We also create a platform for the people who never stood up and shared the word of God to a group, even though they attend a Church for their entire life time. We encourage our students to establish house Churches- after attending their regular Sunday worship service. They adopt a place where there is no Church, on a Sunday evening starting with a house Church.IMG_0747

Faculty
The faculty at Good News Bible College and Seminary is on a mission to train men and women who have made a life-commitment to fulfill the last command of Christ, the Great Commission. Math 28:16-20. The greatest asset of a theological seminary is not its beautiful buildings but the quality of its faculty. Our goals are to teach students in a program of study how to spread the Gospel of Christ, help new believers become a vital part of the Church, the Body of Christ and teach growing Christians how to know, obey, and glorify God in every dimension of life. Our faculty is committed to sound scholarship and absolute loyalty to God’s inerrant and infallible Word. The faculty’s goal is to embrace a biblical balance for life and ministry in the subjects being taught. The seminary faculty have earned degrees from a variety of Bible fundamental Institutions and possess years of ministry experience. We believe equipping servant leaders is best accomplished by servant leaders who themselves combine biblical scholarship with actual experience in the work of the ministry. We are in need of more eminent professors to come and teach in our Bible Colleges in India.

How You Can Be InvolvedIMG_0291

a. Prayer: We covet your prayers as God continues to mould our program effectively to reap the harvest of souls. We have been praying that the Lord will supply all our needs, according to His riches. My studies at Shepherds Theological Seminary helps me, for a step forward to a greater ministry in India.

b. Send : We need more people to be involved in this great mission work and a single person cannot tarry it for a longer time- Dr. Jaya Sekhar – Age 65. My father’s with 44 years of ministry experience, his methodology in implementing to develop the ministry is by Faith and should continue by Faith alone. Amen

c. Give : Good News Bible College and Seminary does not have any property or assets. It does not even have an office of its own. Dr. Jaya Sekhar along with 15 dedicated coordinators who volunteered to come forward and helped to develop the ministry. We rent our home and an office room. All our seminary classes are totally rented in private schools or colleges which help us to cut down the cost and in-turn have a good class room atmosphere and facilitates.

Since we do not have a permanent building of our own, we are constantly on the lookout for a new premises in the event of being asked to vacate. Due to this urgent need, we are constrained to submit our prayer request for your kind support to build a Church building and Administration office, along with Seminary classrooms in Hyderabad, India.

Praise God for all these years the way the Lord has been graciously working through my Father in administrating these 40 Bible schools and also attending graduations every month throughout India. God is working in this ministry and it is not the money to do this ministry. The results are incredible, but having our own premises is always an added advantage and relieved of tension of renting an accommodation and concentrate on the ministry which the Lord has entrusted to us.

  1. We pray for Church and Administration building in Hyderabad, India.
  2. Our desire is to start a regular day college, simultaneously.DSC_0266
  3. Block Saturday- full day classes. A special study program for the Christian Employees who work during the night in Multinational Companies.
  4. To penetrate into the large developed corporate’s and other major Metro Cities- Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore.
  5. To establish a Biblical counseling center to face the upcoming clash of cultures, and the ecclesiastical scenes.
  6. We are currently seeking individuals to join our board. Partner with to make a difference in the lives of an Indian. I along cannot reach India, please contact us for more information.

We Invite you to come alongside of us. We sense a greater need to strengthen our country men and women to stand on their own feet for the gospel and to that extent I request your support.

Our team is growing. In many of the cities where we are located the outreach is growing making it a huge challenge for us. Far greater is a harvest that promises to be plentiful. God is creating opportunities for us to work together to evangelize my people. In order to be successful we need financial stability, and regular support.

The Lord is gracious: Whenever God’s people do what they can, it increases my confidence to ask God to do what only God can do: “One Fair Chance, be given to every Indian to respond to the salvation message”.

Please let me know if you need more information.

May the Lord richly bless you and your dear Family.

IT CAN BE DONE!

OUR BELIEF IS NOT NEGOTIABLE

The Scriptures
We believe that the Bible as originally written was verbally and plenarily inspired, is the product of spirit-controlled men, and, therefore, is truth without any mixture of error. We believe the Bible to be the center of true Christian unity and the supreme standard by which all human conduct, creeds and opinions shall be tried. (II Timothy 3:16, 17; II Peter 1:19, 20, 21)

The Triune God
We believe there is one and only one living and true God, the Maker and Supreme Ruler of heaven and earth; inexpressibly glorious in holiness and worthy of all possible honor, confidence and love; that in the unity of the Godhead there are three persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, equal in every divine perfection and executing distinct but harmonious offices in the great work of redemption. (Exodus 20:2, 3; I Corinthians 8:6; Revelation 4:11)

Jesus Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, having not been created, but being the Second Person of the Trinity, came into this world as foretold in the Scriptures to manifest God to mankind and to be the Redeemer of the sinful world. He took upon Himself human flesh and a sinless human nature through the supernatural conception by the Holy Spirit in a virgin, Mary. Jesus was both fully God and fully man, and His earthly life sometimes functioned in the realm of the humanly and at other times in the realm of the divine. He came to die for the sin of the world -the just for the unjust. Jesus Christ alone is the full and complete propitiation for sin -the full satisfaction of the Father’s justice regarding sin. He rose from the dead, according to the Scriptures, retaining the same body, though glorified; His bodily resurrection and ascension into heaven, where He now serves as the High Priest for the redeemed of God and head over the church, gives proof to the fact that His sacrificial death was fully acceptable to the Father for sin. (Genesis 3:15; Isaiah 7:14; 9:6; 53:1ff; Micah 5:2; Luke 1:30-35; 24:34-39; John 1:1-2; 20:20; Acts 2:22-6; Rom. 3:25-26; Heb. 1:3; 2:17; 4:14-15; 7:25; 10:1-14)

The Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit is a divine person, equal with God the Father and God the Son and of the same nature; that He was active in the creation; that in His relation to the unbelieving world He restrains the evil one until God’s purpose is fulfilled. He convicts of sin, of righteousness and of judgment; that He bears witness to the truth of the gospel in preaching and testimony; that He is the agent in the new birth; that He seals, bestows gifts, guides, teaches, witnesses, sanctifies and helps the believer. (Genesis 1:1-3; Matthew 28:19; John 14:16, 17, 26; 16:8-11; Hebrews 9:14) We believe that certain gifts of the Spirit are temporary, providing the foundation for the New Testament church and are not active today. These gifts were revelatory in nature -word of knowledge, tongues, interpretation -and were critical for a church that was without the written New Testament. Other foundational gifts were used to confirm and validate the ministry of the Apostles, such as healing, raising from the dead, as the authentic founders of the church. (Hebrews 2:1-4; Acts 2:22; Mark 16:14-18; Matthew 10:8; I Cor. 13:8)

The Devil
We believe in the personality of Satan; that he is the unholy god of this age and the ruler of all the powers of darkness and is destined to the judgment of an eternal justice in the lake of fire. (Matthew 4:1-11; Revelation 20:10)

Creation
We believe the Genesis account of creation as being neither allegory nor myth but a literal, historical account of the direct, immediate, creative acts of God over six literal days without any evolutionary process; that man -spirit, soul and body -was created by a direct work of God and not from previously existing forms of life; and that all men are descended from the historical Adam and Eve, first parents of the entire human race. (Genesis 1-2; John 1:3; Colossians 1:16, 17)

The Fall of man
We believe that man was created in innocence under the laws of his Maker; but, by voluntary transgression, Adam fell from his sinless and happy estate; all men sinned in him, in consequence of which, all men are totally depraved, are partakers of Adam’s fallen nature and are sinners by nature and by conduct, and, therefore, are under just condemnation without defense or excuse. (Genesis 3:1-6, 24; Romans 1:18-32, 3:10-19, 5:12, 19)

Grace and the New Creation
We believe that, in order to be saved, sinners must be born again; that the new birth is a new creation in Christ Jesus; that it is instantaneous and not a process; that in the new birth the one dead in trespasses and in sin is made a partaker of the divine nature and receives eternal life, the free gift of God; that the new creation is brought about by our sovereign God in a manner above our comprehension, solely by the power of the Holy Spirit in connection with divine truth, so as to secure our voluntary obedience to the Gospel; that its proper evidence appears in the holy fruits of repentance, faith and newness of life. (John 3:3; 3:6, 7; Acts 16:30-33; Romans 6:23; II Cor. 5:17; Ephesians 2:1, 5; II Peter 1:4; I John 5:1)

Justification
We believe that justification is the judicial act of God, whereby He declares us to be righteous through faith in Christ Jesus; that justification includes the pardon of sin and the imputation of God’s righteousness; that it is bestowed, not in consideration of any works of righteousness which we have done, but solely through faith in the Redeemer. (Isaiah 53:11; Zechariah 13:1; Acts 13:39; Romans 5:1, 9; 8:1; II Corinthians 5:18-21)

Repentance
We believe that repentance is a change of mind and purpose toward God prompted by the Holy Spirit. Sin is ruinous to the soul and that true repentance is inseparably related to true faith.(Luke 13:1-3; 15:7, Romans 2:4)

Faith and Salvation
We believe that faith alone in Jesus Christ is the only condition for salvation. (Acts 16:31)

Sanctification
We believe that sanctification is the divine setting apart of the believer unto God accomplished in a threefold manner: first, an eternal act of God, based upon redemption in Christ, establishing the believer in a position of holiness at the moment he trusts the Savior; second, a continuing process in the saint as the Holy Spirit applies the Word of God to the life; third, the final accomplishment of this process at the Lord’s return. (John 17:17; I Corinthians 1:30; II Cor. 3:18; Ephesians 5:25, 26; I Thessalonians 4:3, 4; Hebrews 3:1)

Adoption
We believe that adoption is the gracious act whereby the Father, for the sake of Christ, places new believers into the honored position of mature sons -in contrast with regeneration whereby the believer receives the nature of God and becomes a child of God. The full benefit of the position accorded by adoption as the sons of God await the glorification of the believer at the coming of the Lord. (Galatians 4:1-7; Eph. 1:5, 13, 14; I John 3:1, 2)

Eternal Security
We believe that all who are truly born again are kept secure by God the Father for Jesus. (Philippians 1:6)

The Church
We believe in the unity of all true believers in the church, which is the body of Christ and was established on the Day of Pentecost, and that all believers, from Pentecost to the Rapture, both Jews and Gentiles, are added to this church by the baptism of the Holy Spirit. (Acts 2:41, 42; I Corinthians 11:2, 12:12, 13; Eph. 3:1-6) We believe that this church is manifested through the local church which is a congregation of baptized believers associated by covenant of faith and fellowship of the Gospel; observing the ordinances of Christ; governed by His laws, exercising the gifts, rights and privileges invested in them by His Word; and that its officers are pastors and deacons, whose qualifications, claims and duties are clearly defined in the Scripture. We believe the true mission of the church is the faithful witnessing of Christ to all as we have opportunity. We hold that the local church has the absolute right of self government free from the interference of any hierarchy of individuals or organizations; that the one and only superintendent is Christ through the Holy Spirit; that it is scriptural for biblical churches to cooperate with each other in contending for the faith and for the furtherance of the Gospel. Each local church is the sole judge of the measure and method of its cooperation; and that on all matters of membership, polity, government, discipline, benevolence, the will of the local church is final. (Acts 15:13-18; 20:17-28; I Tim. 3:1-7; Eph. 1:22, 23, 4:11, 5:23, 24; Col. 1:18)

Ordinances
We believe that biblical baptism is the immersion of a believer in water, under the authority of the local church, to show in the crucified, buried and risen Savior, through Whom we died to sin and rose to a new life; that baptism is a prerequisite to the privileges of church membership. We believe that the Lord’s Supper is the commemoration of His death until He comes and should be preceded always by solemn self-examination. The elements themselves represent the body and blood of the Savior in symbol only. There is neither common nor efficacious grace extended to the recipient of these ordinances. (Matthew 3:16, 28:19-20; John 3:23; Acts 2:41-24, 8:36, 38, 39; Romans 6:3-6; I Cor. 11:23-28; Colossians 2:12)

Separation
We believe in obedience to the biblical commands to separate entirely from worldliness and ecclesiastical apostasy unto God. (II Corinthians 6:14-7:1)

Civil Government
We believe that civil government is of divine appointment for the interests and good order of human society; that magistrates are to be prayed for, conscientiously honored and obeyed, except in things opposed to the will of our Lord Jesus Christ, Who is the only Lord of the conscience and the coming King of Kings. (Exodus 18:21, 22; II Samuel 23:3; Acts 23:5; Romans 13:17)

Israel
We believe in the sovereign selection of Israel as God’s eternal covenant people. Israel is now dispersed because of her disobedience and rejection of Christ; and that she will be regathered in the Holy Land. After the completion of the church, Israel will be saved as a nation at the second advent of Christ. (Genesis 13:14-17; Ezekiel 37; Romans 11:1-32)

The Rapture and Subsequent Events
We believe in the imminent, pretribulational, premillennial return of Christ for His church; and that at that moment the dead in Christ shall be raised in glorified bodies, and the living in Christ shall be given glorified bodies without tasting death; and all shall be caught up to meet the Lord in the air before the tribulation, the seventieth week of Daniel. (Daniel 9:25-27; Matthew 24:29-31; Revelation 20:1-4, 6)

The Righteous and the Wicked
We believe there is a radical and essential difference between the righteous and the wicked. Only those who are justified by faith in our Lord Jesus Christ and sanctified by the Spirit of our God are truly righteous in His esteem; while all such continue in impenitence and unbelief are in His sight wicked and under the curse; and this distinction holds among men both in and after death, in the everlasting joy in heaven for the saved and the everlasting conscious suffering of the lost in the lake of fire. (Genesis 18:23; Malachi 3:18; John 8:21; Romans 6:17, 18, 23, 7:6; I John 5:19)
